Chris Jaran is Electra’s Vice President of Manufacturing and Supply Chain, where he leads the development and execution of the company’s manufacturing and supply chain strategy for the full-scale production of its flagship EL9 Ultra Short aircraft. He brings decades of leadership in aerospace production, operations, and engineering across both established OEMs and innovative aviation companies.

Prior to joining Electra, Chris served as Chief Manufacturing Officer at Piasecki Aircraft Corporation and Chief Operating Officer at MD Helicopters, where he oversaw manufacturing operations, supply chain, and quality. He was also CEO of Terrafugia, guiding the company through rapid growth from 19 to more than 250 employees. Earlier in his career, Chris held senior leadership roles at Sikorsky Aircraft and Bell Helicopter, including Vice President for Bell Helicopter in China, and has led multiple greenfield production system build-ups.

Chris has worked extensively across the United States and internationally, including more than 15 years in China, giving him deep experience in global manufacturing and supply chain operations. He holds BS, MS, and PhD degrees in Aeronautical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
