Aurélie Girou started her career at Safran in 2005, in the Purchasing Department. She joined the Sales division of Messier-Bugatti in 2008, then Safran Landing Systems' Programs division in 2010, where she became Head of Landing Gear programs for business jets, military aircraft and helicopters. In 2016, she became Head of Purchasing within the Wheels and Brakes division, before being appointed Director of Single Aisle landing gear programs, thus contributing to the development of the Airbus A321 XLR.
Aurélie joined Safran Corporate Ventures in 2021 as Director of External Cooperations. She spearheads Safran Explore and lauched the Explore H2 program.
Since the end of 2023, Aurélie was appointed CEO of Safran Reosc, subsidiary of Safran Electronics & Defense, dedicated to high-performance optics.
She has an engineering degree from INSA in Materials and Nanotechnologies.
